Our story

Two builders. One idea: a house should come with its own history.

Joe Campione

Campione Builders, since 1947 · Navesink, New Jersey

I'm a builder. It's where I come from. I learned to drive on my father's lap in a mason dump truck. My grandfather, Chris Campione Sr., was a master stone mason who laid foundations along the Jersey shore and founded Campione Builders in Long Branch in 1947. My father, Joseph, carried it on, and I worked beside them both — laying out a foundation on a blank lot with a transit and a story pole before there were lasers, then custom homes, additions, renovations across Monmouth and Ocean counties — before taking it over. I love to build: to touch the work, to see it, to understand every detail of how it goes together.

Then I took a harder path. Twenty-five years on trading floors in New York, London, Hong Kong and Singapore, and back to the US, building some of the best risk technology in banking — using data and AI to understand what drives a failure, what to avoid, and which path gives the most benefit. Different materials, same instinct. I was still building.

A house is the same problem. Every system in it has drivers — what keeps it running, what makes it fail, what it costs to get it wrong. Almost nobody writes them down. So the pivot wasn't a pivot at all. I'm still a builder, and always will be.

The root is family: the trades, the craft, the culture, and an eye for getting it exactly right. That's what goes into every record we make.

Matt Anderson

MRA Design and Build · Kiawah Island

Matt Anderson is a licensed general contractor. He learned the trade in the Midwest, then moved his family to Kiawah Island to raise his children by the water. He builds there now as MRA Design and Build, with the best trades on the island.

Joe and Matt met on a playground on Kiawah, their kids running around them. Two builders, two coasts, one record.

Why us

We build the houses. We know what's in a mechanical room because we put it there. We know what fails in a coastal climate because we've replaced it. We know what a buyer's attorney asks for because we've been asked. This isn't software people learning houses. It's house people who finally have the software.

And we're not going anywhere. A record that's supposed to last the life of a house needs a company that intends to be there for it.
