I’m partnering with Matt because we hold the same things: our families first, the country that gave us the freedom to build something, and a refusal to do a thing halfway. We met on a playground on Kiawah, our kids running around us, and the friendship that started there is going to change our families’ lives. Two builders, two coasts, one record.

Third-generation builder
I learned to drive on my father’s lap in a mason dump truck. I learned masonry as an art before I learned it as a trade, and building science on the job before anyone called it that. My grandfather founded Campione Builders in Long Branch in 1947. My father ran it. I walked every job with him — laying out a foundation on a blank lot with a transit and a story pole before there were lasers, then framing, finish carpentry, electrical, estimating from the front of a job to the back. I worked beside him through college.
Why us
We build the houses. We know what’s in a mechanical room because we put it there. We know what fails in a coastal climate because we’ve replaced it. We know what a buyer’s attorney asks for because we’ve been asked. This isn’t software people learning houses. It’s house people who finally have the software.
And we’re not going anywhere. A record that’s supposed to last the life of a house needs a company that intends to be there for it.
